Brittney and Don dated on an off for the past year and a half and couldn't imagine being more sure of their future together.

August, 2010

They talked about marriage, and an hour before a trip to San Francisco and Yosemite, Donald picked up the ring he had been eyeing for weeks, and they got on the road. Following a perfect weekend, and an amazing drive home, they "surprisingly" decided to drive through Palm Desert, California.

July, 2011

After doing a little research, they found the street where Brittney lived as a little girl, and she was able to guess the house she hadn't seen in 25 years. Further down the street, they stopped, Don had Brittney sit down so he could read her something he had been writing all weekend. Don told her that he had wanted to see where home had started for her, and he wanted to start being her home. On that September 6th at 12:30am, Brittney said yes, and after they realized they were still sitting in the middle of the road at 1:00am, they headed home to share the news.
